D. Gary Young Bio
D. Gary Young, founder and co-owner of Young Living Essential Oils, had humble beginnings to his quite amazing life. Raised on a ranch in the rugged mountains in Central Idaho, he had little of the comforts that we enjoy today, including electricity. He learned the value of hard work, and was soon motivated to strike it out on his own. As a young man, he was nearly killed in a logging accident, which left him paralyzed.
The early drive that he learned as a young man growing up on a ranch sustained him through the difficult years of trying to recover from this horrible accident. Stricken with crippling pain, Young tapped into his inner strength and determination to not only survive the accident, but learn to walk again.
Working to overcome the tremendous and constant pain he had to deal with, he discovered the healing and beneficial power of essential oils. Eventually, with the help of his strong will and through the use of natural medicine, including essential oils, he was able to overcome this pain. Not only did he learn to walk again, he learned to run.
Harnessing the power of essential oils, combined with his strong will, Young founded Young Living Essential Oils, which produces and manfuactures some of the top natural medicine and oils in the country. These products produced by Young Living Essential Oils have helped others throughout the world. D. Gary Young, thorugh perseverance and determination, was able to take an extremely difficult circumstance, and not only help himself, but help countless others as well.
